The national Space center is a located in Midleton that was set up in 1984 it was made to set up a satellite phone link between america and europe but was bought out in 2010 and is home to satellite dishes. The national space center is host to many projects as it has a research and development department that contributes to international projects that are run though the european space agency. In 2021 Elon Musk had taken notice of Irelands National space center in Cork, being located in Midleton the National space Center is a bit out but with the help of Elon Musks plan to provide better access to anyone anywhere with internet connectivity the National Space Center may yet become a very important part of modern Ireland.

Reason for Selecting

I feel as a Digital Media student we are taught to be very adaptable to any piece of Digital media software and be able to learn any new set of skills. The national space center seems to be something that would definitely take adapting to as their focus lies in a subject that would need to be understood and adapted to , creating a portfolio that can promote and enhance the National Space centers reputation and assist in their research in any way possible.
