It was founded in 1895 by Revra Depuyy who was born in 1860 and passed away in 1921 he had studied in University of Toronto and Depuy manufacturing became the very first commercial orthopedics manufacturer in the world, their reputation has grown and is still going strong nowadays. Depuy was bought out in 1998 by multinational medical company Johnson and Johnson. Depuy has a location in Ireland located in Ringaskiddy , Cork and has over 12000 employees worldwide. Their headquarters lies in California and were founded in 2004 since then they have gotten their name out and are known worldwide, in recent times they had dealt with some backlash and criticism as they had been hacked. Because of this the company was forced to lay off some people as their revenue had fallen. They have since gotten back their notoriety and hold the two offices in Ireland one located in Dublin and the other in Cork. Their focus on cybersecurity has given them an overall good name as they continue to grow as a company.  National Space Center General Digital Media The national Space center is a located in Midleton that was set up in 1984 it was made to set up a satellite phone link between america and europe but was bought out in 2010 and is home to satellite dishes. The national space center is host to many projects as it has a research and development department that contributes to international projects that are run though the european space agency. In 2021 Elon Musk had taken notice of Irelands National space center in Cork, being located in Midleton the National space Center is a bit out but with the help of Elon Musks plan to provide better access to anyone anywhere with internet connectivity the National Space Center may yet become a very important part of modern Ireland.
